The Pet Parent is required to provide enough food for the duration of the stay. You do not have to provide bowls, or bedding, we will provide them for you. You may pre-portion the food into individual servings if you would like, but it is not required. Please write down the feeding instructions and provide that with a copy of your vaccines.

Food & Miscellaneous

All dogs are required to be up to date on Flea & tick and heartworm medication. If your dog is due for application during its stay at PAWS, please provide the medication with written directions.

Flea, Tick, & Heartworm

The pet parent will be responsible for the management and updating of all vaccines. PAWS requires the following vaccines for boarding:

Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepetitis, Parainfluenza, Rabies, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). The Bordetella vaccine MUST be given within 6 months of your dog’s stay at PAWS. There will be NO EXCEPTION to these rules. If your dog is not up to date on required vaccines, please make an appointment to see your veterinarian, no less than 5 days before your dog’s stay at PAWS. Proof of vaccines is required. PAWS will keep a copy of your vaccines for the duration that your dog stays with us, and they will be returned to you when you pick your dog up.

Vaccines

PAWS accepts cash, check, or credit cards. All check should be made out to Shari-Ann Murphy. All fees are due 100% at the time of the drop-off. If your dog stays any additional time, or any other fees need to be assessed, those are due at pick-up time. Please plan accordingly.

If paying by credit card, you have the choice of paying your invoice 24 hours before drop-off time or paying at the time of drop-off via Pay Pal Here. If you choose to pay your invoice before drop-off, an email will be sent with instructions on how you should pay your invoice. Either way, a 2.7% Pay Pal fee will be applied to the invoice to cover the convenience fee of using Pay Pal.

When paying by check, if check is returned for insufficient funds, a returned check fee of $25 will be applied to the invoice and personal checks will no longer be accepted.

Payments

If you have scheduled a specific time to drop-off or pick-up your dog away from our facility in Danielson, Connecticut, and you are more than 15 minutes late, you will be assessed a $20 late charge. Due to the busy schedules of both the PAWS representative and the pet parent, it is very important for both parties to be punctual. There will be NO exception to this rule.

Pick-up and Drop-off times will vary depending on the location of the client.

Drop-off Times and Fees

Dropping off your dog to a PAWS representative is defined as a “Drop-off time”.

For clients who live west of the Rt. 395/20/290/12 interchange, drop-off times for your dog(s) will be Tuesday and Thursday nights, or Saturday afternoons. There will be a $15 drop-off fee if other times and days are requested. These fees will be applied all days.. This is due to travel time and fuel usage to make the 40 minute trip out to the area.

For clients who live in the Central Massachusetts area, or North Central Connecticut, Drop-off times will vary. No Drop-off fee will be applied.
